Brines of Protection

A woman

The oceans tell her that the rocks weaken,

The ocean blow winds to protect her.

She builds her home with soft sand,

She tells her that the rock is too hard, it can damage her.

The ocean gives her sand to stand on,

When the storm makes her softer.

Her throat needs fresh water from the fountain,

It's unfortunate the ocean drinks salty water.

The ocean brings pearls to dress her,

The ocean tides pull back to let her sleep.

She watches the horizon for a golden sun,

He drowns the shadows in the deep.

The coral carves a path for her feet,

While the waves hum a song to keep her calm.
