Given Up

D.W.Kadete.

At some point in our lives, we may feel like we have given up or, are not interested in doing the things we once enjoyed, feel like quitting, and so on. The number one priority is what exists in ourselves shaping and changing our attitudes before giving up.

Giving up on something is a worthwhile thing to do sometimes, it lets you discover yourself better. It's the giving up song of the soul.

Given up

My mind asks about myself,

Given up on yourself,

Given up your life,

Can't find yourself,

I have stopped feeling good,

I no longer feel the spirit,

Where is the light I once had?

Where are the tales?

The imagination I had,

Where is the world of fantasy?

The visions and sounds I heard,

My heart pounds questions.

My mind asks about myself,

Given upon yourself,

Given up your life,

Can't find yourself.

I have never stopped feeling happy,

Though I no longer hang out,

Hiding in my soulful peace,

Where are the friends I once had?

Where are laughter and handshakes?

The love I had,

Where are the people of dreams?

The company and adoration I received,

My heart pounds questions.

My mind asks about myself,

Given upon yourself,

Given up your life,

Can't find yourself.

I have stopped seeing days,

I no longer see it visional,

Searching the purpose of all these,

Why do I have to go through this tunnel?

When will the sun rise?

Because I miss it like eternal,

What will stop the dark from the rise?

I don't wish for the sleeping volcano.

My heart pounds questions.

My mind asks about myself,

Given upon yourself,

Given up your life,

Can't find yourself.

I have stopped believing in trying,

I no longer find life meaning,

Where is the meaning?

Hope and searching from within,

Who you're is your true friend,

The pure world of imagination.

That's me,

My mind puzzles answers.

My nerves nervous,

Searching for life,

Given up giving life,

Giving dreams to life,

To find the self.
